NHL Playoffs

NHL playoffs underway

Well the NHL playoffs are underway again with some very intriguing first round matchups. I’m actually sitting here right now watching game six between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Ottawa Senators. My beloved Pens are up 3-2 in the series, down 1-0 in the game, but on the power play. I am wearing my new Sidney Crosby road jersey that I got at sellbits.com.
I’d love to think that the Pens will repeat and win the cup again. But I also realize how hard it is to win a Stanley cup. The playoff run to the cup has got to be one of the most grueling tasks in all of sports. Each series is a seven game war of brute physicality that challenges even the toughest hockey players. And you have to win four of those to win the Stanley cup.
I guess the Sharks and the Capitals are the favorites to win their respective conferences but we all know that the number one seeds never seem to make it anywhere. I’m not sure why that seems to happen so much more in hockey than other sports, but it does. And the regular season in hockey is so meaningless. I mean, you only have to be in the top half of teams to make the playoffs. That is not that hard to do.

All of the series underway right now are close. The Chicago Blackhawks just took a 3-2 lead over the Nashville Predators today. Chicago is a very talented and young team that will be looking to make a run at the cup for many years to come. San Jose, Philadelphia, Washington, Detroit are among the teams with series leads right now.
Something strange happens during the NHL playoffs. Although teams play hard during the regular season, everything is amped up a notch in playoff hockey. There seems to be more speed, toughness, urgency and the best which is desperation. Playoff hockey is awesome! It is escalated to a different level it seems than other sports’ playoffs. Why that is, I have no idea. But I know that it does.
If you watch an NBA playoff game after watching an NHL playoff game you will fall asleep. The NBA is so lethargic, there is no defense, and the players travel the whole game. If you get a chance, watch an entire NHL hockey series, preferably one that lasts the entire seven games, and you will be glad that you did. You will witness so many emotional swings and momentum swings that you yourself will feel exhausted when the series is over.
And then after the seven battles and the war is over and a winner is decided you will have the ceremonial handshake of the teams at center ice. This is when you see the sportsmen come out in the players. And this is when you see the respect these men and competitors have for each other. It’s a very fun part to watch itself.
So before the next Stanley cup champion is crowned, get yourself a hockey jersey, sit down and watch a few series. I can assure you that you will not regret it.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! Spring is in the air again, April fool’s day has passed, and Butler University is in the NCAA national championship basketball game against a familiar participant in the game, the Duke blue devils. Today will be filled with candy and Easter egg hunts. There will be a lot of time spent with loved ones and of course great food of all kinds being made to go along with the festivities.

If you’re like me, you love taking part in all of these holiday activities. Eating the food and watching the kids play are my favorite parts of Easter. But what I love is making money online while I’m doing these things that I love with my family. And it is really simple to do this. I’ve opened up several online stores on ebay, amazon and most recently sellbits.com I’ve realized that the more web stores that you have, the more you sell and the more you are noticed and get branded on the web. That’s one of the biggest misconceptions about a web store is that you can only have one of them. That is absolutely not true! You can have as many stores up and running as you like. It makes complete sense to get your items and products across as many websites and junctions on the internet as possible. Because we all should realize that a website or store that doesn’t get noticed is useless!

And the best part about these online stores is that for the most part they are very inexpensive for the exposure you receive. Just make sure you go to sites that market your store for you by getting enough traffic like ebay or sellbits. Don’t fall for those sites that build you a website or store and then never do anything to drive traffic to it. They bill you each month and just let your store or site sit there and hope people come to it. Again, a store or website that doesn’t get seen is absolutely useless!

We all need to be spending much more money on internet marketing these days over other traditional methods of advertisement. The effectiveness of television, radio, and newspaper marketing just doesn’t produce the results that it used to. And its because almost everyone does just about everything they can on the internet in today’s world. And the facts are that these trends are only going to continue in the direction they are going. I mean the Denver Post newspaper is gone. It is completely GONE! Now that should speak volumes as to the lack of effectiveness of traditional advertising means.

So my advice to all is to open up some web stores and spend your time and money advertising and marketing online. It is by far the most cost effective way to advertise and market your products while getting the most bang for your buck!

I hope this helps you all. Again, I may not be an expert, but I sell a lot of stuff online.

Happy Easter everyone!

“Buying and Selling Bike Equipment Online”
I started to do some research to see if there was any way to buy and sell my bike equipment online, receive a reasonable amount for them, and avoid the massive shipping cost attached to these items. I used to use sites such as Ebay and Craigslist for these transactions. However, I became really frustrated. Using Ebay was ok but the shipping costs killed otherwise great buys. And Craigslist was ok for awhile but I grew tired of finding something I wanted and driving across town just to find out that the item was a piece of junk. So I started searching the web to see if there was an alternative. I found a fantastic new site called sellbits.com that finds a happy medium in receiving a fair amount for your items without a massive extra shipping cost. Sellbits.com is not an auction site, it is a buy it now site with a standard price along with a make an offer feature that allows two parties to come to a fair agreement on price. At sellbits.com the shipping cost is already included in the item price which gets rid of the massive extra shipping costs. The sellbits.com slogan is “the simple way to sell online” And it is just that… simple!
It seems so many people are searching for bike equipment. However, it is extremely difficult trying to find quality equipment at a reasonable price. I’ve been involved in the bike industry for over twenty years. It is one of my great passions in life. Finally I can be deeply involved in the sport that I love. There’s so much good equipment on this sellbits.com website I’ve bought and sold several bike equipment items and have been satisfied each and every time. I’ve found great brands there too like BMX and S&M, which are two of my favorites. Sellbits.com has bike frames, cranks, race rims, etc… You name it, they have it.
Selling your bike equipment online with sellbits.com is also good because it only costs $1 to list any item. Other online selling sites charge so much money to list items. Then it costs you at every decision, including pictures that cost 35 cents each after the first picture. It really is ridiculous! Then, they take a cut out of the final sale price of YOUR item. Sellbits.com charges $1 per item. That’s all you pay!
I also tried looking for bike equipment online at the individual companies’ websites. Don’t get me wrong, there is a lot of awesome equipment on their sites. The problem is that the prices they charge for even the most simple of items is absolutely outrageous! I can’t imagine paying those exorbitant prices when I can find them in at sellbits.com in new or like new condition for a significantly lower price. I hope this helps all of you bike lovers in your search for quality equipment at a reasonable price.
I’ve had so much success with sellbits.com, that I’ve been buying online there as well as selling other stuff online there. It’s really worth checking out!
